Support SB 656

I fully support SB 656 because I reserve my rights as the parent of my children to provide consent to any material made available to them at school or in any setting. This is a parent choice matter and not one for any government institution to decide what is appropriate for my children and provide them access. This is not a book-banning campaign as the left states because these books are available for purchase at book stores or online if families so choose to allow their children to read them. A consent form to read explicit materials provided by a public school library would provide parent choice just like Family Life Education. There is no difference when seeking consent from parents so it should apply to library materials as well. If it’s too graphic to be read aloud at a school board meeting then it’s too graphic for our children to have access without parent consent.
