Re: Model school policies for sexually inappropriate materials being kept from VA children

Provide greatly detailed do’s and don’ts!

Please ensure through this policy that there are certain specific actions that every school MUST take in order to ensure sexually explicit materials are correctly identified and seen by parents first, and only then approved. My concern, as a former homeschool dad and now an employee of a Christian private school, is whether certain minimum standards will be expressly mandated (as opposed to providing examples or suggestions). You must not allow certain school districts or boards to find ways around what they consider to be “mere guidance” - these are the rules, break them at your own peril and loss of funding! Thank you, and may God bless and guide you.
