Model Policies for Sexually Explicit Materials

I applaud the steps taken by our governor and Assembly! No longer can the "elite" in education play the devil's advocate behind the backs of concerned parents. The policy grants parents the ability to decide what material and the age of their child before he or she is exposed to it. Education goes beyond the three "R's. " Morality and compassion must also be taught --- by those whose responsibility it is to raise the child, the parent(s) or guardian(s). Education is not only the domain of the school but is to be shared also by parents or guardians.
