Model Policies

Children should be protected from inappropriate sexual content at school.  Parents have a right to determine whether their child should be exposed to this content, and they are in the best position to determine what is appropriate for their children.  I support these model policies, but would also like to see specific actions each school must take in order to ensure materials are correctly identified and seen by parents.  Without specific standards that are required, schools will be able to “interpret” what they consider to be guidance.
