As someone living in rural Virginia and went through the public school system here from k-12 it would have helped if teachers were more educated on Hispanic/Latino families. I would get pulled out of my kindergarten class back in 2003 to translate for a student in another class that didn’t speak English. Diversity should be ENCOURAGED AND EMBRACED
