I fully support cultural competency training as it is necessary for all teachers and really all humans frankly, to be (at the bare minimum) COMPETENT. Culture is everywhere and especially present in Virginia where so many families who work for the government or military are from all over the world. It’s important to have a basic understanding of cultures in such a melting pot society. This is absolutely necessary to keep and should be enabled everywhere.
