Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

No CRT

This is indoctrinating our children.  CRT is not for Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School or High School.  These areas of public education should only focus on being able to read, doing math, and the ability to write an understandable sentence.  We do need to teach our students history how this country was formed.  But, it needs to be done in a way that unites us not divide us.  We are Americans.  When there is teaching or indoctrinating children of them being in a skin color class of red, yellow, black or white causes divisions.  That's why we are divided as a country now.  It's time to promote unity.  No matter what your heritage, we are Americans.
