I recently completed a white paper exploring concerns with culturally responsive teaching programs. While the goals are laudable, the methods employed align with critical theory (not just CRT). Such methods are demonstrably divisive and harmful to building a common humanity culture premised upon equal opportunities (not equal outcomes) and nurturing respect, relationships, and resilience. I encourage you to reject the current format and instead focus on helping our children develop confidence in themselves, view one another not through the lens of group identities but rather as unique individuals deserving of respect, and learn to be resilient in an increasingly complex world.
