Action | Amend Requirements for Carrying Handguns in State Forests |

Not all bad guys stay on the concrete. We need the same freedoms to protect ourselves in State Forests that we have in the rest of Virginia, and that includes the freedom of open carry. It is not at all clear why that would, or even could, be banned in the State Forests. Especially when it is harder to summon help out in the forests than in the towns, and almost certainly will take longer for help to arrive. And there aren't any neighbors to hear that you're in trouble and come over or call 911 for you. You pretty much need to take care of yourself out there.
