Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

Just say NO to CRT

I am outraged that our "educators" are suggesting that the best way to end racism and promote "equity" is to teach racism and forced "equity" as the best way forward.  This is extremely insulating and extremely divisive.  This Marxist ideology suggests that the only way to promote "equity" is to make everyone equal.  This completely ignores personal responsibility and individuality and an individual's desire to work hard and overcome whatever hardships they might encounter.  Rather this disgusting ideology teaches our kids to be victims rather than conquerors.  This is crippling ideology and must be stopped.

This dangerous and toxic ideology was responsible for MILLIONS of government sanctioned deaths in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Cuba and all the communist counties in Asia.  Venezuela is the latest country to self-destruct, by embracing Marxism.  There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for working to "educate" our students to evaluate each other on the basis of their skin color.  That is disgusting.  If this dangerous indoctrination attempt is adopted by the VaDoE, we will be recommending to anyone that we know, that it is not safe to send their kids to VA public schools.  Thankfully our kids are grown.
