There should not be a vaccine mandate for COVID, just like we’d never mandate a vaccine for the flu, because a mandate doesn’t account for the 70% of students who have already tested positive for COVID and have scientifically stronger immunity than the vaccine could provide them with. It also doesn’t account for the large percentage of individuals who, even when exposed, never test positive or acquire the virus. Studies show natural immunity has the ability to defend against other strains of the virus compared to the vaccine. There is also not enough data to show that it is not harmful to the immune system to vaccinate for something that the immune system has already fought off itself and created natural defenses against.
