No Vaccine Mandate

As an adult who made my own choice to receive the vaccine, I'm an not against the COVID 19 vaccine in general. However, there are many gray areas when it comes to this particular mandate. The most important that I feel should be pointed out is that this vaccine neither prevents the spread of the virus or prevents the patient from becoming ill themselves. Because of these two reasons, there can be no heard immunity established. Making it much different from other vaccines, like those for measles. In the big picture, this remains an experimental drug that cannot guarantee the safety of our children. I was willing to put myself at the risk of adverse reaction(s) in hopes that if enough adults made that choice, it wouldn't come to being pushed on others who don't get to choose. I am not willing to gamble my children's well-being for a false sense of security. If a mandate is put into place, it should certainly be kept out of private schools.

Thank you,
