No mandate for vaccines or masks!

We are looking at a disease that may be around for the rest of our lives. While I am in support of vaccinations and get them myself, I believe the covid vaccine is way too new to be forcing upon young children without years of experimental trials and long term effects evaluated. For example my daughter is 6 years old and has so much growing physically and mentally to do. We have no scientific studies on long term effects in terms of development with children taking this vaccine. And ultimately it should be the parents’ decision. My daughter has been in school for all of last year and this year and never contracted Covid. Covid never spread in her school amongst the students. The students that got Covid got it through family members and were quarantined appropriately so there was no spread. And none of those cases were severe. It’s been shown that Covid doesn’t affect children the way it affects adult. Why should we be putting a brand new vaccine that was only recently approved, into our developing children’s bodies, for a disease that likely won’t cause them serious harm or complications? And masking these children is cruel. They need to socialize and see faces. They need to breathe fresh air and see the smiles of their teachers and classmates. We cannot live under these conditions forever. If you want to get your child vaccinated and masked up, that is perfectly fine. But to mandate it and force it in order to allow them an education is controlling, cruel, and downright wrong.
