I petition you NOT to mandate vaccines for schools- teachers or students.  As a nurse with an understanding of the scientific process, I am concerned that this country has bypassed standards of safety and long term studies as a quick “fix” to the Covid endemic.  We have NO IDEA what this new mRNA technology could do to our children’s bodies in the long term.  It is unclear how it will affect their reproductive systems and immune systems in the long run.  It is a shame to allow our children to be vaccinated as guinea pigs for a virus that is barely affecting them, simply to protect the older, vulnerable population.  
I don’t speak to this lightly… my dad, FULLY VACCINATED  and with NO comorbidiites, Just died last week from post-covid lung damage.  There is no guarantee that this vaccine prevents you from getting covid, and Israel studies have shown that you are actually MORE likely to get Covid if your vaccinated.  Israel was 93% fully vaccinated and when Delta variant hit, it was rampant in Israel.  
we simply do not have enough evidence or scientific studies to show that vaccinating all of our children would protect them or the population, and be free of harm.  
On the other hand, I believe every parent should have a choice.  I do not condemn those who have deep convictions about the vaccine.  But everyone should have the freedom to an informed decision and the right to decline if they so choose.  In a country based on freedom, these are our rights!
