It is my understanding that vaccines are a great help in preventing severe disease, not a guarantee that you will not be infected with COVID-19.  My 16-year-old is vaccinated, along with me and my husband. I do not feel the risk for my younger preschool and elementary school-age children warrant the vaccine be mandated to them.  The studies being done in the younger populations are not robust enough for me to feel confident that it is the best choice for them.  Please do not make this mandate for our younger children in school.  Mine are not at risk for severe disease and it's not a guarantee that they won't still contract and or spread the virus. Please allow the parents and pediatricians, the right to choose what is best.
