Absolutely Not

Do not mandate vaccination. Religious exemptions have been accepted for years on the many core vaccines available that covered disease far harsher than COVID and had higher death rates, I certainly don’t believe we need to enforce this particular vaccine now. This comes from a parent that is fully vaccinated (core vaccines and now COVID as well because of the threat to lose my financial stability due to a company mandate) as well as my children who are currently on schedule for their core vaccines. But then let’s also have the “my body my choice” argument as well. It’s interesting how that only applies to certain arguments and not the actual decision making of what is best for an individual’s body. The right to choice is a freedom that thousands upon thousands of Americans have died for over the lifetime of our Country but let’s go ahead and erase that part of our history as well, surely we need to be totally suppressed to figure out it did actually suck to live a world where humans have no choice in their own lives.. As a parent of a child that is school age in Virginia - I DO NOT agree to COVID vaccination for her and I certainly DO NOT agree that she should receive less of an education or life experiences because she isn’t vaccinated. But then again she is a white, heterosexual, Jesus loving, raised Republican female so let’s just add to the list of why she should be excluded from anything “inclusive” that’s currently happening in our schools regardless of being raised to be a good human, be inclusive, accepting, and loving to those who are different than you. If I haven’t made it clear yet, I DO NOT stand for mandating vaccination. Especially against a pathogen that according to the American Academy of Pediatrics states as of 10/7/2021 mortality in children ranges between 0.00% - 0.03% of all COVID cases with 7 states reporting 0 deaths in children under the age of 17. They also stated that of all child COVID cases that 0.1% - 2.0% resulted in hospitalization. That’s 542 TOTAL child deaths within the United States since the start of the pandemic and 15,000 hospitalizations TOTAL. Natural immunity is the best for our children. Follow. The. Science.
