No vaccine mandate

I absolutely oppose this petition to mandate vaccines for students in Virginia schools. 1) A vaccine mandate, especially one with no religious exemption, is blatantly unconstitutional. 2) K-12 students have a greater chance of dying in a car accident than they do of COVID-19. 3) Vaccination DOES NOT prevent infection. This has already been proven in several studies, most notably in an analysis published by the CDC that showed vaccinated people accounting for 75% of the infections in an outbreak in Massachusetts over the summer. The analysis showed that vaccinated individuals are equally capable of carrying and spreading the virus. This is precisely why the CDC changed its masking recommendations. A vaccine mandate of this nature would be unconstitutional, and the reasoning behind it is not supported by the science or the data.
