No to Covid Vaccine Mandates

The idea of holding someone's career, livelihood, and personal welfare hostage is abhorrent.  Covid-19 is a real disease, yes.  And it has proven to be  a significant threat to the elderly, people who have pre-existing conditions, are overweight, or are in poor health/condition.  For most everyone else, Covid is like a bad cold or flu: something caught and resolved in about a week.  That was the case for me and my family.

Children have proven to be only slightly affected by this illness, and have not proven to be effective transmitters of the virus.  Therefore, the idea of mandating vaccines for children is absurd.  Though these vaccines were pushed through the FDA and approved, they have NOT been in long term use.  However, they have already proven to be less then effective against the virus over a matter of months.  But most concerning is the number of deaths, neurological, and heart related health problems that HAVE resulted from these drugs.

Children and adults do NOT need to be mandated to take this medication, especially in lieu of so many PROVEN therapeutics available.  Many people also already have antibodies, which have proven longer lasting and MUCH more effective than the vaccine.  It should be a person's choice as to whether or not they want to take this vaccine.

To say that this vaccine is without risk is a lie.  In the past, vaccines were taken out of use when tens of people were being adversely affected by the drug in question.  However, our medical experts have turned a blind eye to the many thousands of those sickened, injured, or killed by these new vaccines.  I am not opposed to vaccines by any means, but to mandate such a new drug that has suboptimal performance and many risks should certainly NOT be mandated.  Too many countries and states with over 80% vaccination rate among the populace are seeing not only breakthrough cases but high death rates as well among the vaccinated (Vermont, New York, Singapore, Israel, etc.); it is time to put the brakes on and look closely at the data before putting more people at potential risk for injury, severe illness, or death.

The idea of taking a vaccine is to have protection against an illness.  Therefore, anyone who is vaccinated should not have to fear the unvaccinated.  And if the unvaccinated are putting the vaccinated at risk, then the vaccine is not working and therefore should not be used.  Therefore, mandates are rendered moot.  My body my choice has long been an upheld and cherished standard.  If the vaccines offer the protection they are said to, then people who want them will take them and be protected.  Those who do not want them would then be susceptible to infection, but technically should pose no threat to the vaccinated. This must be a choice made by every individual, not an edict mandated by the federal or state governments.
