Whether or not to vaccinate children (when and IF it becomes available to children under 12) should only be decided on by the parents and the family’s pediatrician. How can anyone say that every child must have this vaccine? Several children, some of mine included, have had allergic reactions to typical “normal” vaccines in the past and will not be able to take this without great risk to them. All Covid vaccines are under EUA and none are FDA approved that are available in the US. We have no idea what these vaccines could do later on down the road for the simple fact they are still studying them currently. It’s a large scale trial. If other parents want to submit their children to be guinea pigs so be it, but no one has the authority to force clinical trial stage 3 vaccination program on young children, if the parents and pediatrician disagree. Covid -19 and specifically the Delta variant barely effect children below 12, it is extremely rare. To say children must take part in a trial or not be allowed an education based on the data and numbers alone… would be an egregious overstep of the this Dept and the state. The numbers show that this highly survivable virus does not pose any statistical threat to children or young adults. Yet the chances of adverse reaction or death following the trial vaccines are far too great especially with our children. No one other then the parents and pediatrician in agreement should decide on a case by case basis when and IF it becomes available if it’s the right choice (CHOICE - opposite of mandate) for their children and family. And threatening our children’s futures and educations over being involved in a large scale clinical trial is absolutely disgusting and discriminatory. SAY NO TO ANY VACCINATION MANDATES ON OUR CHILDREN!
