Ms. Collins states that, "vaccines should be required for all students for whom the vaccine has been fully approved, just as many other vaccines are mandated." Unfortunately, NO COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for children, yet.  However, if Ms. Collins is worried about her daughter, then take your chances with an EUA vaccine and get her vaccinated. As her parent. you have every right, at least for now.

Also, her ridiculous comment that the "irrational minority should not be dictating the public health policy for VA or the schools" is laughable.  If anything, it is the irrational authoritarian state that is running roughshod over our - and even yours, Ms. Collins- rights, by doing everything contrary to all established protocols and procedures to ensure public health.  It begs the question, why are they?
