As a parent it is my fundamental constitutional right to make decisions as to my child's welfare. This includes determining whether or not I want my children to take a vaccine and in particular a vaccine that is not a true vaccine but instead is a shot much like the flu shot. People say follow the science but don't like it when science shows that what they want to see is not the reality. The reality of the COVID shot is that it is ineffective in both the limiting of the spreading the disease as well as contracting case of COVID. In addition, it is a shot that has had limited research about the long term side effects. In addition, the only vaccines that are approved for 12 and up and soon 5-11 year old uses MRNA - we wouldn't even have a choice as to the Johnson and Johnson shot that is at does not contain MRNA.  Please do not take away my right to make a decision for my child that could potentially affect them the rest of their lives.  Much like Gardsil vaccine, please allow enough years to go by between the release of the COVID shot prior to mandating it for all children. If I am fine with a parent choosing to give their child the shot, then that parent should also respect my decision to not give my children the shot.  Freedom of choice is a very important right we have in this country please do not chip away at this right by mandating a shot that has not had enough research or time on the market to fully determine its effects.
