Many vaccines are already required for students, why wouldn't we this lifesaving vaccine?

There is a very vocal minority of folks who punch above their actual weight screaming that this is a bad idea.  This is absolutely not a bad idea.  This vaccine has proven safe and highly effective at preventing severe illness and death.  In the absence of a vaccine for younger-aged children, there's been a huge spike in severe illness and death for children as the disease continues to spread and mutate.

The science and data all show this to be an effective way to bring the virus under control and protect our children as well as the greater community.  We don't see rampant polio anymore BECAUSE of vaccines. It is simply unethical to allow the continued spread and mutation of a virus that is so deadly and for which we have a well-tested, safe solution.
