I am an individual who decided to get the vaccination after a family member died of COVID. I developed Guillian-Barre syndrome within a month of my second dose. I continue to deal with weakness in my legs. Was this because I perhaps had already contracted COVID beforehand, maybe. Given that I am not sure whether my children, like myself, had COVID in January/February 2020 when we had a flu-like sickness, I am hesitant to vaccinate them. These are difficult decisions for parents, when the vaccination is new and would not yet be widely distributed in younger children. This decision has no place in the context of schools at this early date as the vaccination does not have FDA approval.
