As COVID cases are in decline it would seem to be an overreaction to institute a vaccine mandate for children. Further there is an issue concerning ethics. It seems unethical to vaccinate a child for a disease that is generally harmless to them. If COVID does not generally harm children then we have to ask ourselves who is it protecting.  A society that is willing to subject children to a vaccine that has not undergone extensive testing is probably not worth protecting at all. Let’s protect the bodily autonomy of our innocent children since the long term effects of the vaccine are unknown and the disease doesn’t pose a threat to them.
