I support a vaccine mandate for teachers and staff at our public schools as well as mask mandates. As an immunocompromised individual, I would not have been able to attend school during the whole pandemic as a child. Attending school is vital for children with chronic illnesses when they are feeling and doing well. By not having vaccine and mask mandates, Virginia is failing these children. They are already cut off from education and social experiences enough without the government making it worse. Virginia needs to do everything it can for ALL students to return to school.
