Medical freedom is extremely important because it is a personal choice regarding one’s health, safety, and well being . Parents have a responsibility to evaluate the needs of their children and make decisions for them based off of those needs. It should be the sole choice of a parent to decide whether or not to subject their child to a vaccine, or any other medical procedure, based on their own research, religious views, moral standards, and medical circumstances. These are decisions that belong solely to parents and not to the state. Likewise, teachers are highly educated adults who are fully capable of making informed decisions regarding their health and well being. Teachers, as well as other school staff, should not have to make a choice between earning a living or partaking in a vaccine that they have decided is not the right choice for them.
