I have concerns about this services only having access as a step down from mobile crisis or higher level of care. There are many times that individuals come through same day access and need wraparound support, such as community stabilization. Or when there are individuals in ongoing outpatient services who escalate and need additional support to prevent a hospitalization/crisis episode. I fear that requiring all individuals to utilize the crisis system to access services such as this will inundate an already taxed crisis system.
