| Action Summary |
This regulatory action will amend Regulations Pertaining to Pet Shops Selling Dogs or Cats (2 VAC 5-105) as required by Chapter 610 of the 2025 Acts of Assembly and develop new guidelines for the establishment of a civil penalty matrix. Chapter 610 of the 2025 Acts of Assembly requires the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services to issue civil penalties as a remedy for violations of the regulations related to inspecting pet shops that sell dogs or cats. |
