Action:
Amend Regulations to Revise Informal Hearing Procedures
Action 6789
General Information
| Action Summary |
The Rules and Regulations Governing the Construction and Maintenance of Migrant Labor Camps protect the health, safety, and welfare of migrant workers and their families during their employment and residence in Virginia. These regulations establish standards for (i) licensure and enforcement, (ii) adequate and convenient supply of water, (iii) disposal of sewage, and (iv) general maintenance of facilities such as bathrooms, cooking facilities, sleeping quarters, and lighting and ventilation.
This action amends the regulations to remove the requirement that only a health director may conduct an informal hearing and allows a designee such as a presiding officer to conduct these hearings pursuant to 2.2-4019 of the Code of Virginia. |
