Action Summary | On May 7, 2018, federal OSHA issued a Direct Final Rule which adjusts the regulatory text of the General Industry Beryllium Standard to clarify OSHA's intent with respect to the following terms in the initial standard: "Beryllium Work Area", "emergency", and "dermal contact" and "beryllium contamination". Since OSHA did not receive significant adverse comments on this Direct Final Rule, on July 3, 2018, OSHA published a confirmation of the effective date for the Direct Final Rule. |
