Virginia Independence Program [22 VAC 40 ‑ 35]
Action:
VIEW Employment and Training Transitional Services

General Information
Action Summary The 1999 Virginia Acts of Assembly (1-98, 399.G, page 341) provides the authority to provide up to one year of employment and training services, if needed, to former VIEW cases that were not sanctioned under VIEW at the time their TANF case closed. Though the law has not specifically stated that regulations need to be promulgated, the regulation is needed for the purpose of implementing the law in those areas, where the legislation has not defined crucial terms such as “employment and training services” or “if needed”.
