Reason for Withdrawal
CMS has just provided new guidance that it will not permit DOC to sign Medicaid applications for inmates who are unable or unwilling to do so unless DOC has obtained legal authority to act for the inmate.

Action Summary This action will permit designated persons, who are employed by the Virginia Department of Corrections, to sign applications for medical assistance when the individual is unable to sign for himself.
