General Information
Action Summary The intent of the proposed action is to promulgate a new regulation to implement an adult comprehensive sickle cell clinic network. During the 2020 General Assembly session, House Bill 907 amended a subsection of §32.1-68 of the Code of Virginia to include language specifying that the voluntary program for the screening of sickle cell disease or sickle cell traits is for adults and children. The bill also includes a subsection of §32.1-68, mandating the Board of Health to adopt regulations to implement an adult comprehensive sickle cell network in Virginia.
