Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes

An assessment using the Uniform Assessment Instrument (UAI) is required for all individuals upon admission to an assisted living facility (ALF) and at certain intervals (§ 63.2-1804 of the Code of Virginia). The UAI Manual builds upon regulations found in 22VAC30-110 and provides step-by-step instructions on completing the UAI for local departments of social services (LDSS) and other entities that use it. The ORM Economic Review form lists the guidance document changes.
