Every argument in favor of this SEL document cites positive aspects, notes the benefit, and the countless studies that show its effectiveness. However, they are ignoring the CRT and political ideology found in all grade bands in the “social awareness” section. This is being ignored by those arguing for these SEL standards. Take out this out and perhaps standards may be better received. Try leaving out this alternative agenda and truly having a document addressing only SEL. Why do you think there is so much debate in these comments. No one denies the definition of SEL is good. Take out the negative CRT and political ideology.
