DMAS clearly violates all prudent lay person standards. If we as physicians need advanced testing to tell if someone that had open heart surgery is having another heart attack or reflux, how would we expect our patients to “guess” if they are having a life threatening emergency or not.
Physicians should only be paid $15 to treat a blood sugar of 500 but when the patient would only be hours away from a true diabetic emergency?
This legislation fails to make any sense!
