It would be easy for anyone, especially the Health Department, to look at and review any contractor's file within the local and state level health department, including the DPOR, to see who has had complaints, infractions, violations, derogatory remarks, etc. Those that have multiple negative remarks/violations, are the ones who should be held in question. Why should companies that have been in business and are QUALIFIED and have no record of reprimand or negative/derogatory remarks, risk losing out because those pushing the new regulations want to change the rules.
Furthermore, what does a high school diploma have to do with one's ability to install and maintain septic systems? The owner a local septic company has learned every single thing from 30 years of hands-on experience.
