It appears that one thing in common has come from all the discussion of the new changes. The soils community has split ! For 37 years I have worked in and with soils and have made a life out of it. From Enviromintal soil testing; Geotechnical soils work, Construction and On-Site Septic Designer. From State to Large Industrie to Small Business. Over the years I have had training, Certified;recertifed and college courses to maintain my porfessional skills and work. Never have I been told that I would have to pass a test to re-prove that I know what I was doing. The professional skills and knowledge of the EHS of VHD,CPSS and AOSE all should speak for them selfs. There will always be someone that trys to cut some corner and they will be known in the industry as to who they are. Failures will happen and we all will strive to prevent them. As professional soils people we need to work together for one common goal. That is public health and safety and the enviroment. I have a feeling this DPOR thing was already a done deal! I feel we will lose some people in this industry; Installers; Designers and soils Personal that will just let this change pass them by. We all need to deal with it the best we can and work together.
One last question to the CPSS; is it all about the MONEY?
