After working full time with a well established AOSE for six years, I am planning to take my Spring Training courses (If they happen) and try to get my AOSE before the JULY dedline. I was unable to obtain my AOSE two years ago because of my degree (B.S. Anthropology) which I understand was unrelated. I've been told that these Spring Training (2009) classes may not happen because of budget cuts which would then set me back to eight years of experience (new dpor regs). I think that the jump from four years with a related degree to eight years without any degree leaves people like me with a college education in an unrelated field out by grouping us with folks with no colledge education whatsoever. I thinks that individuals like me with a non-related degree should have a different experience requirement then folks with no college education. I would like to see the 6 year experience requirement reinstated for folks with a non-related degree.
Thanks,
