Action | Elimination of restriction on practical training only in final year of veterinary school |
Stage | NOIRA |
Comment Period | Ended on 7/1/2015 |
Allowing vet students to get more hands on experience earlier in their education will both help them as individuals and the public. Getting a taste of real world practice can help the student early on to know if they have made the right career choice and help them to find the area of veterinary medicine they find most rewarding. They will be better trained and better able to jump into practice at graduation. Early hands on can also help their education by making the connection between what they are hearing in lectures and reading in textbooks to reality. Please support this change.
