I keep reading that this new law is discrimatory to the young, the old, and the minority. But I have not read in what way that statement is true. How does being a minority keep you from obtaining a valid id? The youth I have come across (and in my line of work there are many) are very capable and very sophisticated, I cannot even imagine them having this kind of issue. The old may have an issue if they are no longer driving but there are plenty of groups, many of which are promoted by either party who would assist this generation in having the proper identification to vote, not to mention family, church family and other community organizations that would be willing to assist. In order to ensure the integrity of the system I cannot understand why any person would not want to require valid photo identification.
