I have been a resident of Henrico all my life and we are such a beautifully vibrant and diverse community of all different backgrounds, lifestyles, and identities. I strongly oppose this action. Trans girls and woman deserve safety and acceptance in spaces where they belong. Trans individuals are living their lives authentically and are not frightening, mystifying figures to be legislated out of public life. Do not pander to dangerous and outdated rhetoric in our fine county by making transgender community members political fodder. Protect our trans community.
