I fully endorse the removal of Objective Written Documentation. Live-in caregivers are often forced into their roles after experiencing repeated failures with external attendants—no-shows, early departures, and disengagement plague the system. As a result, family members are left to take on the role of caregiver to ensure that their loved ones receive the care they deserve. Our priority is to provide safe, reliable, and attentive care, and when we can’t find it externally, we do it ourselves. Objective Written Documentation creates an additional and unnecessary burden on live-in caregivers who have already stepped up when the system has failed. It is red tape that should be eliminated.
