It is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary to require parents to clock in and out and to document what they do for their disabled children. The job is hard enough caring for these individuals and having to do both of these things just adds unnecessary stress to parents with lives that are already incredibly stressful. And what does it accomplish? Isn't it bad enough that you pay attendants so low that families are not even able to hired reliable people so they can go out and get jobs paying a living wage? Can any of you people making these decisions survive on the wages offered, let alone raise a disabled child on them? If you really want to save some money, why don't you streamline the costly red tape that families and administrators must endure as there as there is an incredible amount of duplication of tasks and documentation already. Give families a stipend and cut out the red tape. Also, if you are requiring non-family members to be EORs, you should be compensating these individuals as well.
