Vegetation Control Regulations on State Rights of Way [24 VAC 30 ‑ 200]

Description This regulation sets forth the policies, criteria, and procedures that VDOT, on behalf of the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB), will follow in granting permits to allow vegetation to be removed from the vicinity of signs/structures on state property controlled by the CTB.
State Authority Sections 33.1-210 and 33.2-1200 , Code of Virginia .

Goals of Regulation VDOT seeks public comment regarding the following question: Does the regulation meet the following goals?
1. To permit sign owners to remove vegetation around signs in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and criteria concerning aesthetics and health of vegetation.
2. To protect the public's health, safety, and welfare with the least possible cost and intrusiveness to the citizens and businesses of the Commonwealth.
3. Is the regulation written clearly and understandably?
