Pursuant to Chapter 14 of Title 28.2 of the Code of Virginia, you are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) at their meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the Commission meeting room at 380 Fenwick Road, Building 96, Fort Monroe, to consider an application submitted by Michael Rosemond to remove two (2) existing failed timber groins and two (2) failed bulkheads and construct two (2) 75-foot long low profile groins, an 84-foot long ReadyReef sill structure with a row of Envirolok Bags landward of the sill, place clean sand backfill landward of the proposed sill, place a 30-foot by 84-foot Flexamat structure over the sand fill and plant native wetland vegetation in the Flexamat media along the Rappahannock River at 149 Pops Lane in Essex County.
