Purpose of the meeting The board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. The board's summer meeting and tour will be a two-day event: August 16, 2007 (board meeting) and August 17, 2007 (board tour). The following regulations will be discussed: 2 VAC 5-200 - Rules and Regulations Pertaining to the Disposal of Entire Flocks of Dead Poultry, 2 VAC 5-140 - Health Requirements Governing the Admission of Livestock, Poultry, Companion Animals, and Other Animals or Birds into Virginia, 2 VAC 5-70 - Health Requirements Governing the Control of Equine Infectious Anemia in Virginia. Also to be discussed is the proposed revision of Pounds/Shelters Civil Penalty Assessment Matrix. The board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |||||||
