I am a strong supporter of professional licensing of landscape architects. This profession has become a mainstay in land planning and laying out designs that best accommodates the public interest. It is an art form of knowledge about human needs, and the equipment, supplies, construction techniques, etc to meet those needs. This profession has become just as important as architects who design buildings, just that these architects design landscapes (walkways, ADA ramps, railings, pedestrian flows, aesthetics).
