There are a lot of highly qualified therapist in the field who have paid their dues, studied hard to achieve their degrees and have proven their abilities time and time again with their clients and colleagues. The quality of the education does not rest on CACREP accreditation and for that alone to be the determining factor of qualification is completely wrong and a slap in the face to the veteran counselors in the field. I think this causes division in the field, which is completely wrong since the ultimate goal for everyone in this field is the progression of our clients.
