I am a former dental assistant and first year hygiene student. I am very concerned on the possibilty of dental assistants being granted the permission to do supra-gingivial scaling! ISN'T THIS WHAT I WORKED SO HARD TO GET INTO HYGIENE SCHOOL FOR?????!!!! Please do not put the public at a health risk by allowing this and PLEASE do not allow the dental hygiene profession to suffer due to this!!!
